D2.3 Dublin Manifesto

On this page we provide you with Dublin Manifesto.

Every BHH matinee will for sure bring several new sources for specific road mapping of BNCI “next-to-come”. Masterclass, semi-developed projects and actual performance of BHH participants will act strongly. Art Share role will be to gather the data and prepare, if possible in collaboration with participants representing both BCNI communities, specific roadmaps, which will become a part of BHH Manifestos

Each Manfesto will contain:

  • short overview of actual hackathon – artist/scientist statement of each project,
  • conclusion and evaluation of projects by IAB,
  • suggestions of good practice for next hackathon/s,
  • basic road-mapping plan.

All three Manifestos will function as a work in progress during the project implementation.

One important point of attention was the ethical considerations that went onto hosting an event for experimenting with EEG and BCI technology. Research by the Technical University of Delft led to a paper based on interviews and in-depth, aesthetic analysis of artworks and projects involved in the BrainHack project.

The article has been made available for all readers through this link.

D1.2 Ethics Report

As an EU deliverable in the Brainhack project. We have created a report on ethical guidelines. This document addresses ethical considerations by implementing appropriate safeguards and following a policy of transparent use and sharing of information. We advice to take these issues into account when organising a hackathon or participating in other forms of experimentation with non-clinical BCI.

The full report can be downloaded here.
